Talapia Fish Ponds

Fish ponds can provide a local source of good protein, as well as opportunity to establish an economically viable business.  HOM has decided to take on this project.  Suitable land has been found, and negotiations are underway to work out a “lease to buy” arrangement.   The six ponds would likely be hand dug, and operated by a local group of young men and women as part of a cooperative.  A business plan is being developed to make this a self-sustaining operation after initial investment.
