Dental Flouride

Children’s dental care remains a challenge, even though fluoride treatment is provided annually to all 1,500 students in schools HOM supports.  An initiative is underway to provide daily fluoride tablets to a portion of students to verify that increased fluoride will reduce decay—this must be done very carefully so as to not over prescribe fluoride.  Water samples have been taken, and a protocol is being developed.
